Cecile M. Lambert,93,of Madison,formerly of New Haven, died peacefully on Tuesday,July 3,2012 at the Hearth at Tuxis Pond. She was born in Fall River,Ma on Oct.20,1918 a daughter of the late Pierre G.and Helen Lambert. She was predeceased by her three brothers,Oscar,Wilfred and Edgar Lambert.She also was predeceased by her fiancee Jean Louis Parenteau who died in World War II in France. She remained lovingly devoted to his memory throughout her life. She is survived by her nephew Roger Lambert,his wife Virginia and their children Jeffery,Joseph and Aimee,niece Carol Lambert and her children Sharon and Justin,her nephew Joel, his wife Susan and their children Elizabeth and Catherine, her niece Janet Spaudling, her nephew Peter Lambert and his son Peter Istas Lambert, her nephew E. Paul Lambert his wife Suzanne and their children Leslie and Paul D.Cecile was a valued employee of Bank of America, working in the Trust Dept. until her retirement.She was a longtime parishoner of St. Louis Church in West Haven.She loved to travel and went on many trips throughout her lifetime with her mother or close friends.Arts and crafts were her hobbies and passion. Sewing and knitting from the age of seven resulted in true craftsmanship abilities which generated lovely outfits for her family and friends but particularly for nieces and nephews of whom she thought of affectionately as her "adopted" children. Cecile was particularly devoted to her immediate family.She spent a great deal of her later life committed to provicing quality care for her mother who died at age 97 and her brother Bill who died at age 93. She was their long time caregiver and lovingly provided for their well being
Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home,43 Kirkham Ave.,East Haven, Monday morning at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church,Taylor Ave.,East Haven at 10:00. Burial will be Monday afternoon at 1:00 in Notre Dame Cemetery,Fall River,MA.Friends may call Monday morning prior to the Mass from 8:30-9:30.
